Rescue Hedgehog House

New to our range for 2009 this has been recently designed from feedback from resue hedhgehog centres.

The entrance is situated on the left side at the back of the lodge making it easy to place against a fence/hedge.

Hedgehogs tend to run along the fence/hedge in a garden and sometimes may miss the entrance if its not in their path, also the tunnel is shorter on the inside making it easier for the hedgehog to turn into the box when inside the tunnel.

Made from solid 21mm redwood throughout with no ply, chipboard or particle board this house will last for years, the whole box is treated with a dark animal friendly wood preserve, or golden brown wood preserve, a mix of the two or untreated the choice is yours.

Features: 15" deep, 18" wide, 14" high to 8", opening tunnel of 5" wide by 6" high, to the right on the right side you will see a vent holes.

The floor is slightly raised to stop the floor getting to damp in the winter, but allowing hedgy easy access.

This will make a great addition to any garden and for the price you get top quality that will last many years to come, why buy a cheap plywood box when you can have 21mm solid redwood!"

The complete roof is hinged on two "solid brass" hinges allowing easy cleaning and good watching of injured or sick hedgehogs, it also benefits from a hasp lock with snap hook giving protection from predators who may try to lift the lid.
